FACEplant burst onto the Newcastle music scene in late 1993 and immediately made an impact by winning the Hunter Region Battle of The Bands. Priding themselves on only playing original material FACEplant embarked upon a rigorous gig campaign. In the time since inception the band has performed over 300 gigs including supporting the likes of The Cult, Whitesnake, The Divinyls and hometown mates The Screaming Jets and silverchair.

FACEplant has also extensively toured Australia building up a strong following from Brisbane, the NSW Nth Coast, Newcastle, to Sydney, Wollongong, Canberra and Melbourne.

In February this year FACEplant released their debut EP Upper Case Face to over 500 screaming punters at The Cambridge Hotel. Within 24 hours of release the disc knocked silverchair from the top of the official Novocastrian charts and by the end of the week had sold out of it’s first run. Another 1000 copies were ordered, all of which have since sold out. A remarkable achievement for any act let alone a totally independent release.

This summer sees FACEplant embarking on a national tour as well as heading back into the studios to record some of their latest dark melodic tunes. Catch them at a venue near you or if you can’t wait until then contact:
