Exetel HSPA Network

NEW !.. Internet 'on the road'. Exetel provides HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) services using the Optus mobile network. Currently Optus, like other Australian mobile carriers, is continuously upgrading its mobile network to provide faster data speeds over ever larger percentages of Australia's population areas. The current maximum theoretical speeds that could be achieved on the parts of the Optus network that have been provisioned with 3G are 3.6 mbps down and 384 kbps up. However, like many other forms of broadband, these speeds are dependent on many factors and it is not likely that any user will ever achieve download speeds much greater than 2 mbps - 2.5 mbps in a location with 'perfect' conditions.

Naked ADSL2 Network

NEW !... Exetel provides Naked ADSL2 services from a limited number of exchanges in mainland States. Speeds of ADSL2 services are dependent on the distance from the exchange, the quality of the actual copper wire and many aspects of the customer’s own wiring and equipment. You will need another spare telstra line for this service, once connected to exetel there are NO further charges from Telstra, all you pay for is your chosen ADSL2 plan charges.

ADSL1

Exetel provides ADSL1 services in every State and Territory of Australia wherever there is an ADSL enabled Telstra exchange.  making this service available to over 90% of Australian homes. Plans range from $30.00 a month and from speeds of 256kbps to 8,192kbps.

ADSL2

Exetel provides ADSL2 services from a limited number of exchanges in mainland States. Speeds of ADSL2 services are dependent on the distance from the exchange, the quality of the actual copper wire and many aspects of the customer’s own wiring and equipment. 

Web, Domain Name And Email Hosting

Exetel provides each ADSL customer with 20 email accounts, 200 megabytes of personal use web space and one fixed IP address which are included in the monthly plan charge. If a customer has a need to host their own domain, web site or email services or needs more than one static IP, Exetel can provide these at very low costs.

SMS Over DSL Services

Exetel can provide the facilities for a customer to send SMS via their DSL service using any computer connected to the service to compose messages and maintain email addresses and address lists.

Wire Line Telephone Services

Exetel can provide long distance call services anywhere in Australia. Long distance calls include calls to mobiles, calls to every part of Australia and calls to every overseas country. Exetel’s long distance call rates are among the very lowest available from any provider but are delivered over Tier 1 carrier networks from your home to the final destination. 

Mobile Telephone

Exetel provides very low cost mobile telephone call services via the Vodafone network. Exetel doesn’t provide mobile plans that include “free” mobile hand sets preferring to offer extremely low call charges to people who already have a mobile handset or who understand that a plan for a “free” handset is seldom the most cost/effective way to obtain a mobile phone service. 

VoIP Telephone Services

Exetel provides a highly reliable and very low cost VoIP service for residential customers. It’s the same service that Exetel uses to operate its own business.
